About the Wool
All Solace Aura beds are made from 100% merino wool sourced from non-mulesing farms. Made without plastics, synthetic materials or any kind of fillers. Simply wool that has been strengthened with a wet felting technique and woven by hand.
Our wool is coloured using professional textile dyes that meet strict international safety standards for wool fibres.
Merino wool’s fine fibres help regulate temperature, keeping your cat warm in cooler weather and comfortable year-round.
It naturally contains lanolin, which helps resist odours, making it well suited for everyday use.
As a natural fibre, merino wool is biodegradable and will break down over time under appropriate composting conditions.
Sizing
We offer three sizes to suit different cats and sleeping styles:
- Small (~35cm) - Suitable for kittens and smaller cats who enjoy a snug, nest-like feel
- Medium (~43cm) - Best for most average-sized adult cats
- Large (~48cm) - Ideal for larger cats, fluffy coats, or cats who like extra space to stretch out
If you're unsure, measuring your cats current bed or their favourite sleeping spot can help you choose the best fit.
As merino wool is a natural material and each bed is handmade, slight variations in size and shape may occur. The soft, flexible fibres naturally adapt to the space they're placed in.
Care
Merino wool is naturally durable and designed for everyday use. Like any natural fibre, minimal washing helps preserve its quality and longevity.
- Air out occasionally to refresh
- Spot clean as needed using a damp cloth
- When washing is required, machine wash on the wool cycle using cold or lukewarm water, on the lowest spin setting, and with a wool detergent
- Gently reshape and lay flat to dry, out of direct sunlight
As merino wool naturally felts over time, some pilling or light shedding may occur. This is normal and will lessen with use. If needed, carefully trim any loose fibres with scissors rather than pulling.

Where do you ship from?
All orders are shipped from Melbourne, Australia.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship both within Australia and internationally.
International shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location.
How much is shipping?
Shipping within Australia is free on orders over $150.
International shipping rates are calculated at checkout.
Are taxes and duties included for international orders?
Prices do not include international taxes or import duties.
Any applicable customs charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are determined by local authorities.
How long will my order take to ship?
Orders are prepared and dispatched from Australia.
Most orders typically leave within 1–2 weeks, though dispatch times may vary.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking link via email so you can follow its journey.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to feel confident purchasing from Solace Aura.
If your order arrives with a fault or damage, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.
We’re unable to accept returns for items that have been used.
Unused items can be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided that:
- The item is unused and in original condition
- It is free from pet hair, marks, or signs of use
Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer. Returned items should be packaged securely, as they remain the customer’s responsibility until received by us.
As each Solace Aura bed is handmade, subtle variations in size, shape, and texture are natural and part of the character of the piece.
