Is merino wool safe for cats?

Yes. Our beds are made from 100% merino wool with no plastic, no synthetic stuffing and no fillers. The dyes meet Oeko-Tex Standard 100 criteria and EU Ecolabel standards, certified free from harmful substances and safe for skin contact. The wool is also mulesing-free.

What size should I get?

We have three sizes to choose from. Small (~35cm) for kittens and smaller cats who like a snug feel. Medium (~43cm) for most adult cats. Large (~48cm) for bigger breeds, fluffier coats, or cats who like a bit more room. Each bed is handmade, so slight size variations are natural. If you're not too sure, measuring your cat's favourite sleeping spot is a good rough guide.

Will my cat actually use it?

Cats are naturally drawn to wool. Lanolin, a natural oil in the fleece, gives it a scent they instinctively recognise as familiar and safe. The circular shape with raised sides gives them the enclosed, secure feeling they naturally look for. Wool also regulates temperature naturally, so the bed stays comfortable year-round.

How do I care for the bed?

Merino wool naturally resists odour and dirt, so most of the time a quick air out is all it needs. For small marks, spot clean with a damp cloth. When a proper wash is needed, machine wash on the wool cycle in cold or lukewarm water on the lowest spin setting with a wool detergent.
